WISHFUL SKINCARE

If you love make up as much as I do, chances are you have heard of Huda Kattan and her sell-out make up line, Huda Beauty. But did you know she has also recently expanded into skincare with her new line, Wishful Skin? I have always been a huge fan of Huda and her make up. As a fellow middle eastern girl, I really related to her and almost idolized her in a sense. What she has built is amazing and it is so cool to see a strong female whose parents immigrated to America, like mine did, who has accomplished so much in the beauty world!

When Huda came out with Wishful Skin I was hoping her products would finally be the answer to all my problems since my skin can be pretty tough at times. I am prone to hormonal acne which tends to leave behind scars and I have lots of dark spots both from old hormonal breakouts as well as sun exposure. I’m always searching for products that can give me that natural glow and that will mask my own uneven skin tone and deep dark under eye circles. When Huda posted her very own before and after photos these were actually some of the issues she claims her products address. But do they live up to the hype? I had to know!

Honey, she delivered! I am currently addicted to 3 of the products from the line and seeing dramatic results. FAST. I went through my routine with these products and documented some before and after photos for you Honies so you can see exactly what I am talking about.

• I start with the Wishful Yo Glow Facial Enzyme Scrub which you apply to clean dry skin and rub in a circular motion. Immediately the scrub starts flaking and balling up with dead skin and impurities that it is pulling off your face. As dramatic as it sounds, it feels super gentle and does not burn, sting or hurt; it honestly feels so refreshing. If you have sensitive skin its best to only use this powerful scrub once a week. For tougher skin, like mine, I use the scrub 2-3 times a week. The instant results are amazing! It is like you have new, baby soft and very even skin in an instant (as you can see in my photos).

• Next I move on to the Wishful Chin Lift Sculpting Sheet Mask. I was very skeptical about this product having any real, meaningful effects, but at just $9 per mask, I figured, why not give it a shot. Who doesn’t want a more sculpted neck line, right? All I have to say about this one is WOW! As you can see in the side by side photos (taken 30 min apart) immediately before and after use of the mask, the results are so worth it! I will suggest you leave the mask in the fridge (as I do with all my sheet masks) for extra cooling and comfort during use. You can leave this on for extra sculpting so next time I am definitely going to wear the mask a bit longer to see how it impacts the results.

• The last step in my Wishful Skin routine is to finish it all off with the Wishful Get Even Rose Face Oil. This one is a bit more pricey at $63 per bottle but you do not have to use very much so it should last a long time. It is such a quality product especially for long term evening out of your complexion. This can be used daily as the last step in any skincare routine. For best results it is recommended you use it in the morning and at night which is what I do.

Overall, I feel Wishful Skin 100% lives up to every claim and does some of the most sought after things in regards to correcting so many skin issues. I am truly a Wishful Skin girl for life! Of course, this line is a Honey, Yasss!
