VALENTINE’S LIP FAVS

PJ:
My all time favorite lipstick is a nudish, pink hue by Bobbi Brown called Sandwash Pink. To give it some shine and life I like to use my Deck of Scarlet 2-in-1 liner in the shade Desert Rose. Then dust a bit of my favorite highlighter, Gumdrop from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Sugar Glow Kit over the top and bottom of my lip as well as in the very center to set off the whole look. It achieves the most gorgeous matte, pinkish lip with just the perfect hit of sparkle.
Make sure and moisturize your lips before application and feel free to use your face foundation to build neutral primer to set the look on. A valentine dream if I do say so myself!
TAYLER:
I love makeup and trying new looks and products whenever I can. However, when it comes to my lip color I am much less adventurous. My lips are fairly thin so, my struggle is making them appear fuller without over-lining and ending up looking like a clown. Bright pinks and reds are definite no-no’s for me! So, I generally stick with a very neutral lip but whenever I want to add a little more color I reach for all the mauve toned lippies.
My current fav combo is the Bellapierre Cosmetics Long-Lasting Lipstick in shade Envy paired with L.A. Girl Perfect Precision lip liner in Bare. For an added lip-plumping effect, I finish the look with Grande Lips Hydrating Lip Plumper in shade Sunbaked Sedona which has a beautiful brown mauve undertone. This combo works great on my skin tone and seems to last for hours (when I’m not wearing a mask of course). My lips also stay nicely hydrated from the Grande Lip Plumper which does give a very slight lip plump effect.
So if you also can’t pull off the extra bright bold lips like me, then this combo is the perfect option for your valentine’s dinner or next date night look! It’s of course a Honey, Yasss!
DEZ:
I’m sure by now you Honies can tell that I’m without a doubt a makeup girl and fully enjoy the creativity that comes with it. For the most part, I stick with the more neutral, light smoky eye with a nude or light pink lip color for my day to day wear. However, sometimes this Honey is feeling a little sassy and I’m all about the true reds and fun pink colors. I guess sometimes I feel a little extra bold and the makeup simply needs to match that.
Lately, when I’m feeling like doing something more fun with my makeup I’ve been turning to a true red lip and it’s been giving me all the feels. My current red lip combo is M.A.C Cosmetics’ Matte Lipstick in color Russian Red paired with Huda Beauty’s Lip Contour Matte Pencil in the shade Heartbreaker. This is a perfect bluish-red lip combo. I’m a big fan of reds that are on the bluish side versus orange or coral. I find the bluish undertones look really good on my lighter skin and I love how much whiter they make my teeth appear.
While both products are considered matte formulas they both have creamy features, allowing them to be applied with little effort. Like most bold colors, if I eat or drink the color will fade some but is not completely removed and can easily be touched up. I also find that while I’m wearing these products or even after removing them, I never have issues with my lips feeling dried out. I’ve tried some matte lipstick brands that are beautiful, but my lips feel dry for sometimes 2 days after. No, thanks!
If you’re having a date night or just feel like you need to add a little extra pizzazz to your makeup look, I highly recommend the Russian Red and Heartbreaker combo. Honey, Yesss!
