KIEHL’S CALENDULA DEEP CLEANSING FOAMING FACE WASH

DEZ:

Face washing can easily be looked at as one of those mundane day and nighttime routines but is one of the most vital steps in any skincare routine. I know I’ve mentioned in the past, I suffer from pretty dry skin and I also deal with a little bit of redness. I have a few favorite cleansers, but the one that instantly pops in my head is Tula The Cult Classic. (Be sure to stay tuned, as there may be a future review on this one!) Although I’ve identified a favorite, like any product/brand, I’m always more than open to try other options.
The Honies and I decided to test out the Kiehl’s Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash. I had always heard quite a bit of buzz around the Kiehl’s brand but had never given any of their products a try. I was also aware that Calendula oil has some calming/healing proprieties in it, so I was instantly attracted to this product.
After only a couple uses of this product, it was extremely easy to label this cleanser a Honey, Yesss! I love how the product is dispensed as a gel, but by adding just a little water you get a “dense foam.” Emphasis on the word “dense” as I truly feel like my skin is thoroughly cleansed after rinsing. In the past, when using other cleansers that turn to foam, I almost feel as if I was losing the potency of the cleanse, only to have my face left feeling dirty. The Kiehl’s Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash does an incredible job at giving my skin a thorough cleanse, without making my skin feel extra dry or stripped. The best part is this cleanser is, “paraben-free, silicone-free, sulfate-free, alcohol-free, and dye-free.” I love a great product that not only cleans but is clean.
This cleanser has without a doubt been added to my list of favorites and will continue to remain in my rotation. If you’re also interested in testing out this face wash you can snag the 2.5 fl. oz. for only $12 (regularly $16), as Kiehl’s is having a 25% sitewide. Hurry, as this promo only lasts through 4/1/21
PJ:

As my clean beauty journey continues, I was in need of a clean cleanser. Yes, I said a clean cleanser. Kiehl’s has been one of my favorite lines during my journey as most things are botanical vs. chemical. Their products also have great ratings in the Think Dirty app. For this reason, I was super excited the Honies decided to review the Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash.
This one come in at 4 in the ratings on the app which is awesome because that means I can use it! Well, as it usually goes with a great brand like Kiehl’s, I loved it! The cleanser really gets in there and gets all the makeup, dirt and grime off your face and out of your pores. It feels good and the calendula really helps with evening my skin tone. It definitely delivers on the promise of delivering a deep clean while not being too drying. It has now earned a spot as my nightly cleanser. I am giving this one an emphatic Honey, YES!
TAYLER:

As the weather starts to warm up, my oily skin is beginning to become, well, more oily. Luckily I recently found my all time favorite cleanser to help combat the extra shine (Monat Be Purified gel cleanser) but I am still always interested in trying out new products just in case I need a good backup!
The Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash from Kiehl’s promises to gently remove impurities without stripping skin of essential moisture. Excessive drying can actually contribute to an increase in oil production which is something I definitely do not want so I was pretty happy to hear this. During the first use I noticed how nicely the product foamed when water was added. After using, my face was left clean, fresh and somewhat tighter (but not in a dry way).
I think that this is a great cleanser for those looking for a great clean option for normal-oily skin that soothes and doesn’t over-dry. I will give this one a Honey, Yasss but I have to say that I will not be switching to this one from my other favorite simply because I am that obsessed with my Monat cleanser!
**I probably should mention that I do double cleanse with a makeup removing balm first before washing my face so I cannot speak to this products’ ability to easily remove tough makeup in one step.
