ELEMIS DYNAMIC RESURFACING FACIAL PADS

TAYLER:

Resurfacing pads have become a staple in my skincare regimen. I am partial to the DR. Gross Alpha Beta Daily Peel Pads and have been using those for a while now. BUT I’m a sucker for a new and popular brand so the Honies and I decided to give Elemis Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads a try.

If you are unfamiliar with Elemis, they are an award-winning skincare brand from the UK which promises real results from their products. However, with that promise comes a hefty price tag. Luckily, our Honey Dez happened upon a great deal on a few Elemis trial products.

We purchased the 14 pads which is supposed to give you enough to try for one week. The directions state to use AM and PM after regular cleansing. I decided to just use once a day since my skin was feeling extra sensitive and dry from the winter weather. After using the pads for about a month, I didn’t notice any major effects. My skin didn’t feel noticeably smoother, brighter or more even in tone. I will say that they may have helped to further cleanse my skin after using my normal face wash but that can easily be achieved with numerous other products such as toner or witch hazel.

When taking into consideration the price vs. results, I am going to have to give these just a meh. Maybe with long-term use these could have some more potential but I think I will be sticking with my Dr Gross Peel Pads instead.

DEZ:

I think I speak for most of us when I say that as we mature, skincare and skin maintenance are of the upmost importance. I first heard of Elemis from Laura Beverlin after she shared that she and her husband both use various products from the brand. Laura raved about the Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads on multiple occasions, but after seeing the almost $1 price tag per pad for the 60 pack ($59 for 60 pads), I wasn’t sold immediately.

Instagram clearly has a job and, in my opinion, does it well. One day while I was scrolling through IG I saw an ad for a special promo for the smaller pack of pads. Specifically, the promo was offering the 14 pack of pads for only $7 and free shipping. (Unfortunately, I’ve checked, and the promo is no longer valid). This 14 pack is regularly priced at $24, so it was a no brainer to give these a shot.

I can confirm that this little magic pad is more than just a regular toner pad and a Honey, Yasss. Within just a few days of using the pads only once a day, I experienced the “baby-smooth skin” that this product promises. Like most products, the smoothness lasts for maybe a day or two, but I can honestly say I feel refreshed and extra clean after using the pads. I’ve used multiple toners in the past and I do not get the same results that I do with the Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads. However, because of the price point, I would not recommend using the pads twice daily, as recommended, as I think once a day works just fine.

PJ:

The Honies and I have been talking about trying out the super popular and relatively pricey Elemis brand for a while now. When we finally did I was beyond excited to try the Elemis Dynamic Resurfacing Pads. I tend to have uneven skin tone and texture so the promise of more refined, smoother and more even complexion is something I always appreciate.

You are supposed to use the pads twice a day after cleansing but I typically cleanse my face once a day at night so I only used the pads then. I can defiantly say it felt like they gave me a deeper clean than just my cleanser alone. It felt like a nice gentle scrub just removing that final last layer of dirt. The only issue for me was that while it felt good, I didn’t really notice it do much for my skin. There was no significant texture or tone correction that wowed me. I feel like it didn’t do more than what my usual toner does. The product also has fragrance in it which I am trying to avoid in my products. For this reason and also for its underwhelming results, I have to give this one a Honey, meh.
